The deputy leader of Reform UK says his constituents won’t go into Boston at night because it is “too dangerous”. Richard Tice was recently elected as MP for Boston and Skegness at the general election in July, overturning a 25,000 Conservative majority.
He told Lincolnshire Live that he is already getting “stuck in” and named Lincolnshire as a “key target” for the party moving forward. Mr Tice recently appeared on Talk TV where he said that the people of Boston and Skegness were “steaming mad” about the small boat crisis and immigration.
The 59-year-old said: “I’ve been hard at work for constituents and let me tell you they are steaming mad about this issue of the boats, absolutely furious. It’s one of the reasons I was elected to be honest, illegal migration as well as legal migration, because it’s just completely out of control.

“I’ve had constituents during the campaign, and since the campaign, saying they will not go into Boston because it’s too dangerous at night. Because effectively, large parts of it are a no-go zone.”
He adds: “It’s completely unacceptable. It’s not the leafy streets of Islington where people feel this intimidation, this harassment. It’s in market towns up and down the country including in my constituency.
“This will not stop until you pick up and take back and leave the ECHR. It is as simple as that.”
Some have held concerns about Mr Tice being present in Boston and Skegness due to his London address. However, the 59-year-old assures that he will soon be moving to the constituency and wants to be “seen everywhere”.
