Police say missing man last seen over a week ago may be carrying 11kg gas bottle

Lincolnshire Police have issued a fresh appeal in their search for a man who has been missing for over a week. The man, named by police as Trevor, was last seen in the Spilsby area on Saturday, June 29.

Officers initially said the 61-year-old was last seen wearing a dark jacket and beige trousers, carrying a shopping bag. He is white with short grey hair, around 5ft 10ins tall, and is not believed to have travelled out of the county.

A police update on Sunday, July 7 stated that Trevor may be carrying a heavy gas bottle with him. A spokesperson for the force said: “We now have information to suggest that he may have with him an 11kg gas bottle usually used for camping.

“We believe this was purchased last Thursday (June 27) and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a man carrying a gas bottle to progress our inquiries. Officers continue to carry out searches in the local area, including the Halton Holgate and Hagworthingham, but would like to appeal to anyone who may have seen Trevor to get in touch.”
