East Coast Pride 2024: Skegness road closures, timings and performances

The East Coast Pride 2024 event will see large crowds gather in Skegness to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. There are activities taking place between 10am and 8pm on Saturday, September 7 across five zones in the town.

These zones include Grand Parade, Tower Esplanade, Compass Gardens, Tower Gardens, and the Hildreds Shopping Centre. A number of live performances will take place throughout the day on the main stage on Grand Parade, including headline act Queenz at 7pm.

Although there will be no pride parade, a road closure will still be in place on Grand Parade from 9pm on Friday, September 6 until 3am on Sunday, September 8. The Clock Tower Roundabout will not be disrupted.

East Coast Pride is a free-to-enter event and the website states that it is family-friendly. An official after party is taking place at The Hive Complex and is strictly for those aged 18 and over. Tickets for the after party start at £15 plus a booking fee for standard entry. Meet and Greet with Michael Marouli is £25 plus a booking fee.

No parking is provided for the event but attendees can use the various council-run car parks in the town. It is recommended that those aged 16 and under be accompanied by an adult

Timings for the event are as follows:

  • Hildreds Zone – From 10am

  • Main Stage – 12pm until 8pm

  • Blue Light Zone – 11am until 5pm

  • Family & Wellbeing Zone – 11am until 5pm

  • Reflection Zone – From 11am
